2018 Seattle 450cc Supercross Results: After a weekend off – the only of the series – the 2018 Monster Energy/AMA Supercross Championship returned to action in the mud of the Pacific Northwest after a week of rain left the Seattle Supercross track a sloppy mess. And it was Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac who came away with his sixth win of the year.

Tomac won his heat race by almost 40 seconds over points leader Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna), qualifying him first for the main event, but it was Anderson who took the early lead in the main event before a fall relegated him to second. Tomac took the win by about 10 seconds over Anderson, with Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin coming home third another 30 seconds back.

Musquin’s teammate Broc Tickle took fourth, while CR22 Husqvarna’s Chad Reed lost fifth place on the last lap to Monster Energy Yamaha’s Cooper Webb as Reed’s clutch disintegrated. Just as Reed got to the finish line, still trying to fight off Tomac’s fill-in teammate Tyler Bowers, Reed’s bike lost all its forward momentum. However, Tomac had lapped eighth place, so Reed was awarded seventh.
Anderson now leads the championship by 37 over Musquin, with Tomac (now with six wins on the season) sits 31 points farther back in third with four rounds left to run.
