2017 KTM 250 SX Two-Stroke: FIRST RIDE
Cycle News Staff | June 1, 2016
We just spent the day riding the all-new 2017 KTM 250 SX two-stroke out at Glen Helen and we’re happy to report that it’s pretty much everything that KTM said that it would be: lighter, faster and better handling. The 250 SX is the most changed in KTM’s motocross lineup, having received a ground-up makeover. The engine is new, the chassis is new and the suspension is new, including the bike’s new AER 48 air forks. Our test rider was quick to say that the bike is very powerful and has gobs of bottom-end and torque.
We will be doing more riding over the next few weeks on the 250 SX and will give you a more comprehensive ride-report in an upcoming issue of Cycle News magazine. But we can certainly tell you now that the all-new 250 SX is very impressive and further proves KTM’s commitment to two-stroke development, which we are, of course, very happy about.
The 2017 KTM 250 SX shares a lot with the KTM four-strokes, which got a major overhaul last year. To see a more in depth list of features and changes to the 250 SX check out our first look article CLICK HERE
