MV Agusta Reparto Corse’s Jules Cluzel scored a clear race win in the World Supersport class at Misano setting a new lap record on lap six—a 1:38.239—in the process.

In second place PJ Jacobsen on the Core” Motorsport Thailand Honda was chasing all the way but not quite able to match the pace of the three cylinder MV.

Cluzel’s teammate Lorenzo Zanetti and Kawasaki Puccetti Racing’s Kenan Sofuoglu had a tough fight for the final podium place. On the last lap Sofuoglu made an error shortly after passing Zanetti for what seemed like a certain third, falling and restarting to finish 11th.

Behind the top the fight for midfield places had CIA Landlords Insurance Honda’s Gino Rea leading a pack of six riders, covered by just two seconds, on the final laps.

Rea held off Race Department ATK#25 MV Agusta’s Alex Baldolini, VFT Racing Yamaha’s Fabio Menghi, Team Go Eleven Kawasaki’s Christian Gamarino, CIA Landlords Insurance Honda’s Riccardo Russo, San Carlo Puccetti Racing Kawasaki’s Marco Faccani and former AMA Superbike racer Martin Cardenas on the other CIA Landlords Insurance Honda, who completed the top 10.
