With Ryan Villopoto heading to Europe to campaign the 2015 FIM MXGP World Championship and Jake Weimer moving on to new ventures, the U.S. Monster Energy Kawasaki Team will have two new faces in their camp next year. The team recently made the official announcement that both Davi Millsaps and Wil Hahn have signed on with the factory squad.
Millsaps comes from the Rockstar Energy Team, though he did not race once this season due to injuries, and Hahn, the 2013 East 250 Supercross Champion, arrives from the GEICO Honda Team.
Both riders will compete in the 450 class in both Supercross and motocross.
“We are extremely anxious to begin the 2015 season,” said Dan Fahie, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager. “We have big shoes to fill after winning four-straight Supercross titles, but I could not be more excited to have both Davi and Wil on the team. Both riders have proven to be top contenders in the 450 class and they are just as enthusiastic as we are to get back racing and on top of the box.”
We expect both Millsaps and Hahn to suit up in green colors for the October 19 Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, though Kawasaki has not confirmed their participation yet.
