Sherco EM

It seems that trials is a good starting point for manufacterers to test the electric motorcycle market, and the Sherco is the next in line. The Spanish company, known best for its highly regarded trials models, is introducing the Sherco EM 5.7, which is a collaboration with the France based company Electric Motion.

The chassis for the EM 5.7 is designed and produced by Electric Motion, and the drive system utilizes an electric motor developed to EM’s specifications running at 48 Volts. The battery pack is built with 25 Ah of Kokam Lithium Polymer cells.

Sherco USA will be bringing the bike into the United States starting in November at a retail price of $9200.00 for the standard model. There will also be a Sport model, which retails for $9900. At this point, we have no idea what is different about the Sport model.
