After months of waiting, Ducati finally unveiled its revival of a classic—the Ducati Scrambler. In what they refer to as a “post-heritage” design, the Ducati Scrambler is a modern take on the iconic ‘60s -‘70s Scrambler.
The Scrambler’s frame and teardrop tank are made with steel, and the swingarm and engine covers with aluminum. And while it carries over it’s simple old-school looks, it comes with modern components, such as front and rear LED lighting and LCD instruments.

Ducati says that it’s a light compact bike with a low center of gravity, and has wide handlebars that make it very comfortable and fun ride.
Powering the Scrambler is an oil/air-cooled L-twin two-valve 803cc engine—with an 88mm bore and 66mm stroke—which Ducati says has been redesigned for smooth acceleration throughout the rev range.

You might be wondering: Is this just another addition to the retro-bike scene? Ducati says, no.
“We have reinterpreted an iconic motorcycle, part of our history for more than 50 years, in a fully modern way, designing and building the Ducati Scrambler as if we’d never stopped making it,” said Cristiano Silei, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ducati Motor Holding, during the unveiling of the new bikes. “The four bikes of the Ducati Scrambler family represent starting points on a path to personalization that will make every single Ducati Scrambler a unique, free-spirited bike as individual as the person riding it.”

The four versions are: the Icon, the Urban Enduro, Full Throttle and Classic—each with its own style and performance to match it’s identity. The Icon, which is to become the first available of the four, is available in yellow or red. As the name suggests, the Urban Enduro is tailored to enduro-style enthusiasts with its “wild green” paint job and ability to be ready to switch from city streets to country back roads in an instant. For those that love flat-track racing, Ducati’s Full Throttle Scrambler is designed for you. And for those who want that pure 1970s look but want the comforts of a modern-day bike there’s the Classic.
The Scrambler is due to arrive at Ducati dealerships in 2015 at the end of January. The MSRP for each of the models is: Icon Red $8,495, Icon Yellow $8,595, Full Throttle $9,995, Urban Enduro $9,995, Classic $9,995.
