Yamaha’s move to the Motorland Circuit in Aragon, Spain to try and find good weather didn’t work out in their favor as the team again found wet conditions. Meanwhile, back at Valencia, the teams who remained actually got some dry track time today.
World Champion Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi completed laps in the wet conditions, but not many. Lorenzo also had a lowside crash, escaping uninjured.
“For sure these last two days we’ve been unlucky with the weather and couldn’t practice for many laps,” Lorenzo said. “It was important to get practice here because we have things to try for the chassis and engine for the new season so we can give as much information as possible to the engineers so they can keep working over the winter in Japan. Now we will have to wait until the next opportunity.”
Rossi isn’t allowed to talk about riding the Yamaha as he is under contract with Ducati until the end of the year.
