Grand National Championship points leader Sammy Halbert will get his second shot at the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.)-backed XR1200 in this weekend’s Vance & Hines XR1200 race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.Halbert finished 13th in his road racing debut at Infineon Raceway last month as he struggled with handling woes on the XR.
Last weekend, Halbert finished second in the Springfield Mile and fifth in the Springfield TT to maintain his lead in the AMA Grand National Championship.
