More Lampkin in World Trials

After a brief break, the World Championship Trials Series returned this weekend in the Czech Republic town of Nepomuk, and Englishman Dougie Lampkin once again put his Montesa on the top step of the podium on both days. Lampkin bested Japanese teammate Takahisa Fujinami on Saturday, with Beta rider Kenichi Kuroyama taking third. Yesterday, Lampkin topped Gas Gas rider Marc Freixa, of Spain, with another Montesa rider – Marc Colomer – taking third.

With five two-day events having been contested thus far, Lampkin has won every day but one, when he finished second. Needless to say, he has a commanding lead in the points standings.
