Another big blow to the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) as they announced this morning that the 2026 season will conclude with “immediate effect”. Only one round was held this year; the Canadian Grand Prix in Calgary on August 8th. The series parent company, SX Global, says their championship is “in advanced discussions with potential investors” but has still made the decision to cancel the remaining five rounds in England, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. This news comes after the series previously canceled the British GP which was scheduled to take place this weekend on October 10, 2026.

“The decision has not been taken lightly,” WSX said. “We continue to believe strongly in the series, its global potential and the opportunity to build on the foundations established to date. We remain optimistic that the ongoing discussions will reach a positive conclusion and provide a strong platform for the future of the championship.”
