Irvine, CA (October 7, 2026) – MotoAmerica, North America’s premier motorcycle road racing series, is proud to announce Daytona International Speedway has opened ticket sales for the 2027 Daytona 200. The World Center of Racing will host The Great American Motorcycle Race for the 85th time next March.

The 3.51-mile road course and its famous high banks will again serve as the opening round of the MotoAmerica Supersport championship March 11-13. Three feature classes follow as Mission King Of The Baggers, Twins Cup and Super Hooligans classes cap off the world-famous two-wheeled pilgrimage that is Daytona Bike Week.

Josh Herrin is the defending champion. His 2026 victory was his fourth Daytona 200 win in a row and his fifth overall, making him the first rider in history to win four straight.

The Mission King Of The Baggers series will also rumble around the high banks during the final days of Bike Week. Last spring, Factory Indian’s Hayden Gillim stormed to victory in the opening Baggers race with an eight-second margin before his teammate Troy Herfoss answered with a win in race two.

Twins Cup, MotoAmerica’s lightweight twin-cylinder class, returns to the high banks as well — a class famous for its drafting duels and photo finishes at Daytona. Last year, 15-year-old Hank Vossberg announced himself with a dominant Race 1 win on his Robem Engineering Aprilia.

The Mission Super Hooligan National Championship brings its anything-goes grid of naked, high-handlebar street bikes back to the Speedway—one of the most diverse fields in the paddock, with machinery from nearly a dozen manufacturers. Last spring, the Saddlemen Race Development Harley-Davidson squad swept both Daytona podiums, with James Rispoli and Jake Lewis splitting the wins.

“The Daytona 200 is the crown jewel of American road racing,” said Wayne Rainey, three-time 500cc Grand Prix World Champion, two-time AMA Superbike Champion, 1987 Daytona 200 winner, and President of MotoAmerica. “It attracts top talent from around the world and riders come here for a one-off shot at making history. Nobody has ever won five straight Daytona 200’s and Josh Herrin has a shot at that record in 2027. The 200 is a very competitive race because of the need for pitstops, having to manage your tires, paying attention to lapped riders and taking advantage of the draft to win this special race. It’s always cool starting the racing season off at Daytona, and I’m looking forward to seeing all our fans there. I know teams are already looking forward to ’27.”

Super Hooligans Daytona 2026
Five Super Hooligans, one frame. James Rispoli (#1) led a Saddlemen Harley-Davidson top-four sweep ahead of teammates Cory West (#13),Jake Lewis (#85) and Travis Wyman (#10) respectively. Gus Rodio (#96, Rodio Racing) was fifth.

Will Herrin be on next year’s entry list, chasing five straight wins and a sixth overall victory—both of which would extend his own Daytona 200 records? And which teams will fill the Baggers, Twins Cup and Super Hooligans grids? Those answers are still to come. Entry lists and team announcements will follow as Bike Week approaches, with more coverage as the picture develops.
