Friday WorldSBK

A two-part WorldSBK FP2 session at Jerez was red-flagged when Jake Dixon (Honda HRC) crashed in the third sector of the circuit, with his bike flipping into the top of the trackside air fence.

Once everyone got going again, some riders made an improvement in the FP1 times, but very few. Unlike every other class in the paddock, the WorldSBK riders were not taking part in Superpole Qualifying until Saturday.

2026 Jerez WorldSBK ResultsIt’s the last round and Bulega has one more chance to increase the win record.
Bulega’s fastest time came in FP1 but it was still enough to top the day.

Nicolo Bulega (Aruba. It Racing – Ducati) was fastest, with a 1:38.155 lap set in the morning’s FP1 session. In the combined times, the always mercurial Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) placed second, Iker Lecuona (Aruba. It Racing – Ducati) was third, and Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) fourth.

Alberto Surra (Motocorsa Racing Ducati) placed himself into the top five, ahead of the top bimota of Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team).

Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team GoEleven Ducati) ended his first day of the final weekend in seventh position, with Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) eighth.

Miguel Oliveira (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team), in ninth place overall, was the first rider to qualify for the top ten thanks to his FP2 time, not his FP1 best lap.

The top Yamaha rider was again Xavi Vierge (Pata Maxus Yamaha) in 10th position.

Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) was 12th on the lone Kawasaki, and Dixon the top Honda rider, in 15th place.

Friday WorldSPB

After losing the recent points and psychological battles to the only rider who can catch him at the top of the championship, David Salvador (ProDina Kawasaki XCI) reasserted himself on day one of the WorldSPB finale, finishing up on pole by 0.701 seconds from Carter Thompson (Team BrCorse Yamaha) and 1.087 seconds up on Xavi Artigas (MTM Kawasaki).

As it stands, with two races left to run Artigas is just 12 points behind Salvador at the top of the table. Only one of those two riders can be champion.

Juan Risueno (Pons Motorsport Italika Racing) showed that local riders were to the fore at Jerez, in fourth place, but the combination of Thompson’s teammate Marco Gaggi on the other top Yamaha saw the Italian rider in fifth place.

Antonio Torres (ProDina Kawasaki) was sixth, for a second row start to Race One on Saturday. His presence made it four Kawasaki riders in the top six places.

Matteo Vannucci (Revo-M2 Aprilia) was seventh, and top RS 660 rider, with home town rider Alvaro Fuertes (Deza-Box 77 Racing Team) eighth and the fastest Suzuki rider, Ferre Fleerackers (Track & Trades Wixx Racing Suzuki), ninth. Julian Correa (Pons Motorsport Italika Racing) completed the top 10 places.
