(June 26, 2026) — American Honda announced a restructuring of its Power Sports & Products center (PS&P), aligning its Powersports, Power Equipment and Marine divisions under a unified structure to strengthen product strategy and sales capabilities, and to accelerate future development. The news comes on the heels of a successful 2025-’26 fiscal year that saw the Powersports and Marine Divisions surpass their sales goals.
Established in 2020, PS&P originally included the Sales Operations and After Sales Experience divisions, which collectively supported Honda’s Powersports, Power Equipment and Marine businesses. In 2024, Marine became a standalone division. Effective April 1, 2026, PS&P transitioned to a business-unit structure consisting of Powersports, Power Equipment, Marine and Sales Operations. Under the new organization, each business division manages its own Sales, Service and Marketing functions, while Sales Operations acts as a shared resource to provide support across all three businesses.
With this reorganization, Honda intends to continue evolving PS&P toward a self-reliant North American operation. The Marine division will focus on strengthening relationships with boat builders, expanding its dealer network and broadening its product lineup. The Powersports division is now focused on growing its core business while advancing future mobility initiatives, and the Power Equipment division is continuing to expand its lineup of battery-powered lawn-and-garden products, growing generator and engine sales and strengthening its e-commerce presence.
To lead the new organizational structure, John Stevens has been promoted to Vice President of PS&P Business & Sales, while Jeremy McGuire serves as Director of Sales Operations. A 25-year Honda veteran who has held a variety of roles across Powersports, Power Equipment and Marine, Stevens most recently served as Director of PS&P Sales Operations. McGuire brings 27 years of company experience, including 23 years in R&D positions before becoming Manager of PS&P Customer Engagement in 2022.
Each of the three PS&P Divisions is now led by a dedicated Director of Sales, Service and Marketing, with Bill Savino leading Powersports, Barry Dlugasz heading Power Equipment and Josh Matthews overseeing Marine. Savino most recently served as Director of National Sales for Powersports and brings more than 32 years of Powersports experience at American Honda. Dlugasz previously served as Director of the Power Equipment National Sales Division and brings more than 30 years of industry experience, including 20 years with Honda and 12 years in Honda dealerships. Matthews most recently served as Division Director before assuming leadership of the Marine Division and has more than 13 years of Honda experience.
As before, some functions for Powersports, Power Equipment and Marine are managed by separate divisions. Jeremy Merzlak, a 25-year Honda veteran who most recently served as Director of the Aftersales Experience Division, has been appointed Director of the Business Planning Division, where he will help drive coordination and operational alignment across PS&P. To enhance product-line consistency and streamline development activities across the business, all PS&P R&D functions have been consolidated into a single Development Division led by Hideki Hayashi and 24-year American Honda veteran Camas Reed.
“Building on the momentum of a successful 2025-’26 fiscal year, this evolution of our Power Sports & Products center will help us strengthen collaboration, accelerate innovation and respond quickly to customer needs,” John Stevens said. “By bringing Marine back into the PS&P structure and strengthening our sales and development capabilities, we’re setting the foundation for sustained growth in North America, while remaining focused on enriching people’s lives through fun and convenience.”
