Dick Faria moved up to score victory
In this week’s Throwback Thursday, we go all the way back 60 years to the early days of Cycle News, and visit Vallejo (Calif.) Speedway. This photo shows Al Geisler (137Z) leading Dale Woolridge (162Z), Dan Jewett (98Z), all novices, all riding Bultaco race bikes, being scooped on the outside by expert Dick Faria (white leathers) on his Ducati in August of 1966. Faria went on to score the win.
