This is a press release from AFT, sent on behalf of G&G Racing

California (February 17, 2026) – Hunter Bauer will be joining the G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing team for his rookie year in the Mission AFT SuperTwins class for the 2026 Progressive American Flat Track season starting at Ventura. Due to prior commitments, G&G Racing will not make the first 3 rounds of the season. Stepping up to the SuperTwins class after coming off a career best Kicker AFT Singles class season finishing 10th, Hunter is looking to build on that momentum in the new class and is up for the challenge. He is looking to join James Ott and J.D. Beach as premier class podium finishers.

G&G Racing would like to thank our sponsors who help make this happen: Yamaha Racing, Yamaha Motor Corporation, Yamalube, JMR, Twisted Development, Graves Sports, AIM, D.ID., Slacker, Metalartopia, Motion Pro, and Fontana Radiators.

Hunter Bauer – G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing

“The dream is officially a reality! I am beyond excited to announce that I’m moving up to the Mission AFT SuperTwins class. This is the premier class I’ve worked toward my entire career, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity. I’m joining G&G Racing on their Yamaha twins for the upcoming season. It feels like my rookie year all over again, but with LJ and John’s incredible knowledge and experience behind me. I’m super stoked to get this journey started. Let’s go!”

James Ott – G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing

“Recovery has been going well. But with so many injuries, obviously the body has taken a bit longer to recover than if it were just one. So, I’ve decided to take a step back and let my body fully recover and fix some lingering issues I’ve had from old injuries. I’m super stoked for G&G and Hunter working together this year and building a relationship. Growing up as rider it’s a dream of ours to get to the Mission AFT SuperTwins class and see what we can do at the top level of the sport. I’m excited to see what Hunter can do and happy that G&G will be on the starting line this year again.”

L.J. Gronek – Team Owner

“We are excited for Hunter Bauer to move up to the Mission AFT SuperTwins class for 2026. Hunter is a very talented rider and has taken to the twin extremely well. We can’t wait to see him race. We are stoked to help him achieve his dream of being a SuperTwins rider. Also, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Yamaha Racing for the 11th year. We could not have accomplished all we have, without their help. The Yamaha MT-07 is a very capable platform, with great power and delivery.”
