Zero Motorcycles is expanding its reach beyond full-size electric motorcycles and eMoto models with the introduction of the LS1, a compact electric scooter designed for urban mobility.

The LS1 uses a center-mounted motor positioned low in the chassis to keep the scooter balanced and easy to maneuver at slow speeds. Two lightweight, swappable batteries are stored in the floorboard for a low center of gravity, and they can be removed for charging at home, the office, or anywhere a standard wall outlet is available.
Charging with the standard 800W charger takes approximately 4.5 hours from 0–90 percent, while the optional 1500W fast charger cuts the same charge window to 2.6 hours. Riders who need more distance can replace the under-seat storage with a third battery to boost range from 71 miles to a claimed 105 miles.
A short wheelbase, low seat height, standard ABS and traction control contribute to confidence-inspiring handling, especially for new or returning riders. The compact dimensions and upright ergonomics further reinforce the LS1’s focus on city use, allowing riders to filter through traffic and park where larger machines would struggle to fit.

Under-seat storage comes standard and is large enough for two helmets or a day’s worth of errands when the third battery isn’t in use.
Pricing and availability are expected to vary by region, with rollout scheduled to begin in Europe in 2026.
