The 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship was a dream come true for Yamaha Racing, with Rider, Manufacturer, and Team Championship titles.

This is a press release from Yamaha…
The 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship was the kind of story dreams are made of for Yamaha Racing, achieving the coveted Triple Crown—clinching the Rider, Manufacturer, and Team Championship titles.
A ‘Triple Crown’ is always a remarkable feat, but this year’s success was made even more special by the debut of the all-new Yamaha R9 in World Championship competition. Introducing a brand-new motorcycle at this level is no small challenge, yet the relentless dedication and innovation of Yamaha Motor Europe’s Motorsport R&D engineers paid off spectacularly—delivering a championship-winning machine in its very first season.
For Stefano Manzi, the mission was clear. After finishing runner-up in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, the Italian was determined to finally claim the top step of the podium in his final year in the intermediate category before moving up to WorldSBK. And he did so in dominant fashion. Learning from past experiences, Manzi rode with precision and maturity from the very first round—winning the opening race of the season and marking the R9’s first-ever victory in World Supersport.
Together with the Pata Yamaha Ten Kate team, Manzi amassed 11 wins on his way to the title. Yet it was his consistency — knowing when to attack and when to settle for crucial points—that ultimately defined his championship run.
