AMA Pro Racing has announced a 16-round schedule for the 2025 Progressive American Flat Track season, promising an exciting new era with a fresh, all-production ruleset and the #1 plate up for grabs following Jared Mees’ retirement.
That battle for supremacy will open with five consecutive bar-banging Short Tracks, starting with the series’ traditional Daytona Beach double opener during the 84th annual Daytona Bike Week.
Senoia Short Track in Senoia, Georgia, is next on March 29, and then AFT heads west for two rounds in California, the Ventura Short Track (April 26) and the Silver Dollar Short Track (May 3).
UPDATE MARCH 4, 2025
On March 4, AFT announced that the previously unannounced location of round six will take place at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on Saturday, June 7.
Located at Highways 83 and 54, Lucas Oil Speedway features 21 VIP Luxury Suites, an impressive HD Jumbo-Tron, stadium-style lighting, a lively vendor midway, and much more. Now, those world-class amenities will provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop as the world’s top flat track racers bring their high-speed thrills to the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks.” A scenic campground—complete with showers and bathroom facilities— is also available just outside the pit gate for those who want to immerse themselves in the full race-day atmosphere.
“We are excited to bring our fans a different type of racing and look forward to bringing AFT to the speedway for their first event with us,” said Danny Lorton, General Manager at Lucas Oil Speedway. “Lucas Oil Speedway has earned a reputation for hosting marquee events, and this flat track event will only add to the high-energy racing our fans have come to love.”
Fans can expect bar-to-bar action from the Mission AFT SuperTwins class, the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by Kicker class, and Build Train Race on Lucas Oil Speedway’s 3/8-mile oval, alongside plenty of off-track fun at the Diamond Bar, Track Treasures Gift Shop, and Lake Lucas.
After the round in Wheatland, the schedule continues its run through the Midwest, including a doubleheader June 27-28 in Lima, Ohio, followed by the “Magic Mile” in Du Quoin, Illinois, on July 5.
On August 10, the Sturgis TT returns, and it will be preceded on August 4-5 by the all-new doubleheader, the Jackpine Gypsies Short Track I & II, which will also take place in Sturgis during the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The season’s stretch run features its two most iconic events: the 78th edition of the Peoria TT (August 16) and a doubleheader at the legendary Springfield Mile (August 30-31). Lake Ozark Speedway wraps it all up on September 13 during the annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest.
The AFT AdventureTrackers will return with an expanded schedule in ’25. Building on the class’ highly successful 2024 debut, it will be featured at all three Sturgis events and at the Peoria TT.
The upcoming season will feature further innovation via the introduction of the Triple Challenge format that will be utilized at the Lima Half-Mile I, Jackpine Gypsies Short Track I and Springfield Mile I, in which the overall winner and final points payout will be determined by three races of increasing distance and importance.
Adding to the excitement along the way will be the inclusion of Royal Enfield’s Build. Train. Race. program at select events.
Tickets for the Daytona Short Track I & II are already on sale, while the remainder of the season’s slate will be made available for purchase in the weeks ahead.
