Renfrow Dicing with former World Champ Kork Ballington and Up-and-Comer Cal Rayborn III
In this week’s Throwback Thursday, we travel back 36 years to 1987 and that year’s Loudon Classic at Bryar Motorsports Park in Loudon, New Hampshire. This photo shows some tight racing in the AMA 250 Grand Prix National with Randy Renfrow (No. 4) aboard his Vance & Hines Honda RS250 running ahead of Kork Ballington (No. 99) on his Team MacLean Honda and Cal Rayborn III (No. 141) on the Team Nordica Roberts Yamaha. Rayborn ultimately topped this trio by finishing on the podium in third behind John Kocinski and Donny Greene. Veterans Ballington and Renfrow both pitched their bikes away on Loudon’s turn two on different laps.
