Yoshimura’s Project Yamaha R7
Cycle News Staff | July 14, 2022
Yoshimura, one of the most iconic aftermarket performance companies in the world, ran race teams in the AMA Road Racing series for decades but has been absent for a few years. The company decided to get back to the MotoAmerica paddock with a special project utilizing a Yamaha R7 for the Twins Cup class. They partnered with Ari Henning from Revzilla to race the bike and enlisted Troy Lee Designs to create a special livery for the bike. Check out the beautiful machine and videos from the unveiling and race at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Troy Lee Designs created the livery for the Yoshimura #projectR7 and Troy said that he and his team designed it to look like two different bikes when it flipped from side to side in the iconic Laguna Seca Corkscrew. Photography by Spencer Owens.
