2022 BMW K 1600 Line-Up First Look

BMW has revised all four of its K 1600 models—the K 1600 GT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America—for 2022.

Normally, this would be a serious mouthful, but each model shares the same updates, including a new Euro5-compliant six-cylinder motor.

That glorious engine still has the same 160 hp on tap at 6750 rpm, but torque has been upped 4 lb-ft to 133 lb-ft, with that number coming 1000 rpm sooner at 5250 rpm. BMW has also included the engine drag torque control (MSR) on the clutch as standard fitment, as is the dynamic ESA suspension.

The revised bodies sees the adaptive headlights in full LED and the same dash fitted on the R18 Transcontinental, the massive 10.25 TFT, is fitted on each K 1600 model.

There’ll be one basic color per model, plus a style variant and an optional “719” variant, like the Midnight color for the K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America.

How much? Prices for the 2022 BMW K1600 base models are—K1600B ($22,545), K1600GT ($23,895), K1600GTL ($26,895), K1600 Grand America ($27,745) MSRP.
