This is a press release from Karcz and Argubright…
Lake Elsinore, CA (August 1, 2019) – With just less than a month before the 23rd annual Vegas to Reno on August 16, 2019, Liz Karcz and Meg Argubright have received their starting position and welcome new, additional sponsorship to support their efforts as they take on the “Longest Off-Road race in the United States.”
Since the team’s event participation announcement, Hammer Nutrition, an endurance sports nutrition company, has stepped up to provide its products and consulting for what is expected to be an 12-13 hour race for the team. KISKA Inc., a North American motorcycle-industry design company, is supplying custom pit crew apparel. In addition, JR Excavation and Larry Engwall have provided their support with this prestigious event.
On July 24, Best in the Desert announced the class and rider starting order, based off of a random draw process. The duo have officially drawn the 2nd starting position in the Over 30 Expert class, which will be the 9th motorcycle class to start on Friday morning. There are currently 9 riders in class.
On Friday August 16th, around 6 a.m., the 505-mile point-to-point race will take place in the state of Nevada, where the duo will begin in Beatty (just outside of Las Vegas) and end in Dayton (just outside of Reno). Both Liz and Meg express gratitude to the following sponsors for their support for this special event; Garrett Off-Road Racing, KISKA, Action RV, Baja Pits, FLY Racing, Hammer Nutrition, Larry Engwall, JR Trotter Excavation, Jamie Henry Law, Kenda, SRT, Bike Bandit, EmbroidMe, Off-Road Support.
