Without The Generators, MotoAmerica Would Be Powerless
This is a press release from MotoAmerica…
Costa Mesa, CA (August 29, 2018) – It’s not an exaggeration to say that MotoAmerica couldn’t run safe and entertaining events if it weren’t for the 30 Honda generators that are used virtually non-stop during a race weekend at the MotoAmerica Series races.
The 30 Honda generators (ranging from 1000-watt to 3000-watt units) run not only on-track necessities like the inflatable safety barriers (AirFence) that protect racers when they crash, and the timing loops that make our Cortech Timing & Scoring System accurate and fail-proof, but they also keep the beIN Sports cameras powered up so the on-track action is captured and sent on its way to our fans homes via TV and internet streaming. And then there’s the off-track, on-site entertainment that requires the generators to keep them filled, from the bouncy houses that keep the kids entertained to the Dunlop and other sponsor’s displays in our vendor areas.
“If you were to go behind the scenes at a MotoAmerica event, you’d be impressed by the amount of Honda generators we need to keep things running,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “The generators are constantly working to keep everything powered up and they are definitely a necessity. We also know that they are a proven commodity and we never experience technical issues with the Hondas. They just keep running like clockwork.”
The 2018 MotoAmerica Series just completed its eighth round at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Round nine is in two weeks at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey, September 7-9.
