We Visit With Rottweiler Performance’s Chris Parker at the 2017 KTM Adventure Rider Rally.
The 2017 KTM Adventure Rider Rally was held in Crested Butte, Colorado for the second time in three years. With nearly 500 attendees including a massive staff of KTM event planners, celebrity riders, world-class racers and helpful technicians, it was a popular destination, to say the least. On top of that, nearly 30 vendors from the Adventure Motorcycling industry showcased their latest adventure-motorcycle gear and services.
We had a quick chat with Rottweiler Performance’s Chris Parker inside their booth at the KTM Adventure Rider Rally to see why they made the trip, what kind of cool new stuff they have and what they think the KTM Adventure Rider Rally is all about.

What product is drawing the most interest from the attendees at the KTM Rally?
Chris Parker: About two-thirds of our business is the intake and power systems—the packages we sell that include an intake and Power Commander and send it to customers ready to install. It’s plug-and-play. That’s really been a key spot with our customers—to take away the intimidation of the programming and just have it set up nicely for them out of the box.
The rest of our business is from the accessories side and we’re always growing and expanding in that area. We sell a lot of the products you see here at the other vendors. We sell a lot of BRP, we sell a lot of IMS, a lot of Cyclops, Konflict—half of the guys here are building parts we sell to customers.
Why should riders consider attending the KTM Adventure Rider Rally?
Chris Parker: Why not!? If you’re a KTM fan, everything here is all about what you love. For us, that’s great. But for a rider, it’s also awesome because there are a lot of people with the same bike and you can talk about things with them. It’s just a fantastic time, everyone and everything is just fun.CN
