33rd Annual Dairyland Classic – Friday June 2
Press Release | April 3, 2017
The 33rd Annual Dairyland Classic is set for Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Sheboygan County Fair Park in Plymouth.
This is a press release from Dairyland Classic…
We have made a few changes this year. First, we have renamed our “Pro” division the “Junior/Expert Open Invitational.” Why? The group that owns the AMA Pro Racing name doesn’t want me using the term “Pro.” The good news is that we are making our premier class an “open” class this year, so that the racers can decide what kind of bike they want to race. Two-stroke or four-stroke, 450cc DTX, 500cc or 600cc framer, 750cc or 1000cc twin. Anything goes this year! I have spoken to several Top 10 American Flat Track racers and they are intrigued by the new class.
Second, we are proud to announce that we will be running a racing division for 1920s-era Class A “Board Trackers”! We loved seeing these 100-year old V-twin motorcycles last year at our Vintage National in Oshkosh, and wanted to give them a chance to race in front of the full grandstands at the Dairyland Classic! These are motorcycles that raced on the wooden board tracks of the early 20th century – no brakes, no suspension, no clutch, no transmission!
We will be offering a FREE shuttle from Road America to the Dairyland Classic again on race day. Details are at www.dairylandclassic.com/shuttle

The Dairyland Racing Group is running two other motorcycle flat track races in 2017: The Door County Fair in Sturgeon Bay on August 5, and our 4th annual Dairyland Amateur event at the Oshkosh Speedzone on August 12.
