Supercross: KTM Duo Dungey and Musquin Lead St. Louis SX Qualifying

St. Louis, Missouri (March 28, 2015) – The Red Bull KTM duo of The secoRyan Dungey and Marvin Musquin have done it again, set the fastest time in the 450 and 250 classes in preparation for tonight’s 13th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in St. Louis’ Edward Jones Dome.

Dungey cracked the top spot in the 450 class with a 47.419-second lap during his second session on the track. GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac was not far behind with a 47.692, while a 47.725 put Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Jason Anderson into the third spot.

Team Honda HRC’s Cole Seely was fourth fastest with a 48.048, while Autotrader.com’s/Toyota/ JGR Yamaha’s Weston Peick turned the fifth fastest time, a 48.187, despite suffering a nasty crash during the session

The second half of the top 10 in the 450 class looked like Monster Energy Kawsaski’s Davi Millsaps in sixth (48.299), RCH/Soaring Eagles/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki’s Broc Tickle, (48.727), BTO Sports KTM’s Justin Brayton (48.758), Discount Tires/TwoTwo Motorsports Kawasaki’s Chad Reed (48.847), and  BTO Sports KTM’s Andrew Short (49.019).

In the 250 class, Marvin Musquin put his Red Bull KTM atop the leader board with a 47.355, which was faster than Dungey’s best time in the 450 class. Second in the 250 class was Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy with a 47.559, and third was GEICO Honda’s Justin Bogle 48.266.

Rounding out the top five were Yamalube/Star Racing’s Jeremy Martin (48.293) and Honda rider James DeCotis (48.856).

 Opening ceremonies get underway at 6:30 Central while the heat races get underway at 7:00.
