OMS Ltd., the personal power sports marketing and management agency announcedd today that an agreement has been reached with FOX Sports Net to televise the 2001 Racer Productions/AMA Grand National Cross Country Series.

Starting Tuesday, June 5, at 11:00 am, Fox Sports NET will begin airing the 2001 GNCC Series. For 26 consecutive weeks, the Network will broadcast hour-long race coverage starting with the motorcycle event from Kirton Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida. The following week the ATV event will air. The remainder of the series will continue to be shown in alternating order of bikes and ATVs. The series will feature cutting-edge, up-close racing and many behind-the-scenes segments and in-depth interviews with the competitors.

Veteran motorsports commentator Larry Maiers will host the hour-long segments while Mark Hyde, former national off-road champion will handle the in-studio analysis and wear the helmet cam while racing in the motorcycle events.

“Racer Productions is very enthusiastic about this development,” commented Racer Productions’ Jeff Russell. “We’re proud that the GNCC series is the first off-road series to be televised in this huge step forward in off-road racing.”

“At OMS Ltd., we are very pleased to be part of the GNCC television package,” agency director Fred Bramblett announced from his Kentucky office. “For years, we have known that some of the closest and most interesting racing in off-road motorsports takes place on GNCC race courses. The trouble has always been making the racing accessible to the public. For the first time in the history of the GNCC series, the public will be able to experience racing up-close and personal, and view it as the competitors see it, thanks to some great coverage combining stationary as well as helmet-cam footage.”
