Peters, Bogle Battle Again At Mini-Os

Kyle Peters had another big day today at Gatorback Cycle Park, for the opening day of motocross competition at the 39th running of the Thor Winter National Olympics, presented by Pro Circuit, in Gainesville, Florida. The Yamaha rider grabbed the holeshot in the 250 A Pro Am Stock class and took the win with ease, beating Kawasaki’s Zack Freeburg and Factory Connection Honda’s Justin Bogle in the process.Peters grabbed the holeshot again in the Open A Pro Am Stock race, but this time Bogle was able to run him down and make the pass late in the race to take the win. Peters held on for second ahead of Kawasaki rider Brad Frace.Joey Savatgy was a standout in the B divisions, winning the Schoolboy 14-16 Division 1 and 250 B Stock Division 1. Kevin Walker won the +35 race against a bevy of speedsters, including Suzuki rider Barry Carsten, who was knocking Walker’s door but ran into the back wheel of Walker’s Yamaha and fell over. Greg Pamart was second on a Kawasaki, while Mike Tredwell, also on a Kawasaki, was third ahead of Carsten.
