The FIM X-Trial World Championship has unveiled an eight-round calendar running from November 28, 2026 to March 27, 2027. The schedule features iconic cities and the 50th edition of the Barcelona X-Trial.

After a season marked by expansion into new territories, the FIM X-Trial World Championship will continue to build on that momentum with eight events in Spain, France and the United Kingdom. The calendar brings together long-standing indoor trial venues and more recent additions, with the aim of establishing events for the long term and bringing fans together for major occasions.
A season spanning four months
The 2027 season will follow a more compact calendar, giving the championship greater continuity while allowing riders more time to recover and prepare between the X-Trial and TrialGP seasons.
Madrid will host the opening round on November 28, followed by Pamplona on December 27. The championship will then continue in Leeds on January 23, Chambéry on January 30 and Barcelona on February 7, ahead of a round at a venue yet to be confirmed in Spain on February 27. The season will conclude in March with Marseille on March 13 followed by the final in Liévin on March 27.
Barcelona celebrates its 50th edition
On February 7, 2027, the Barcelona X-Trial will celebrate its 50th edition. This is a major milestone for an iconic event whose history is closely linked to that of indoor trial. The world’s top riders will gather for an occasion that will hold a special place in the season.
Leeds returns, Marseille welcomes the World Championship back
Following the success of its first edition last season, Leeds will host the championship again on January 23, reaffirming the intention to establish a lasting UK round in a country with a strong trial tradition.
Marseille will welcome the World Championship back on March 13. The return to a city closely connected to the history of the sport will be one of the season’s highlights, just two weeks before the final in Liévin.
Bernard Estripeau (Esdeux), FIM X-Trial World Championship promoter, said, “Preparing for this season meant reviewing several aspects of the calendar to meet the riders’ and manufacturers’ request to stage the championship over four months. This is an important transition, which we are putting into practice just after renewing our contract with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme.
“As we expand into new destinations, we also want to build long-term relationships with the venues that welcome us, whether they return every year or every two years. These regular events help strengthen the championship, build lasting relationships with organizers and audiences, and make each event a true celebration of trial.”
