(February 11, 2026) — For the third successive year, the Northern Ireland-based team, CD Racing return to the Isle of Man TT, fielding Adam McLean in the two Monster Energy Supersport TT races in 2026.

Run by former racer Chris Dowd, the team will race both Supersport TT races with McLean aboard a Kawasaki ZX-6R. The entry continues CD Racing’s growing commitment to the TT, as the team builds on its recent experience with Kawasaki machinery and looks to make further progress in one of the event’s most competitive classes.

Hailing from Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, McLean made an immediate impact at TT 2017 when he won the Newcomer’s Trophy on his debut. He returned in 2018 to claim a best finish of eighth in the Supertwin race and also lapped the Mountain Course at more than 123 mph on his way to 17th in the opening Supersport contest.

After a prolonged absence from the event, McLean returned in 2025 and quickly re-established himself at the sharp end. The 29-year-old secured a sixth-place finish in both Supertwin races and showed strong Supersport pace, taking a top-20 finish in the opening race. Improving from a lap of 121.657 mph to 121.803 mph in race two and was on course for a stronger result before being forced to retire at the end of the final lap.

Nick Morgan, Kawasaki UK / MSS Performance, said,  “We’re really excited to have Adam coming on board. He’s a great person to work with and brings a mature, thoughtful approach to everything he does. The Isle of Man TT has been a huge part of our history for a very long time, and whilst we haven’t always competed as a team, MSS Performance have consistently supported riders and teams at the event over the years.

“It’s one of those races you simply have to be part of, so we’re delighted to be continuing with CD Racing again in 2026. We’ve done a lot of work on the Kawasaki over the winter, building on what we learned last year, and the bike is another step forward. The plan now is to get everything dialed in with Adam and the team in the build-up to the TT and make sure we’re fully prepared to have a strong run there.”

Speaking about the opportunity, McLean said, “I really appreciate the opportunity from Chris and Nick to ride for a competitive team in the Supersport class again. I’ve ridden Kawasakis for a few years, including with MSS Performance and McAdoo Racing, so I’m excited to get my first laps on the new next-generation ZX-6R.”

“I’ll have a great group of people around me, all of whom I’ve worked with before. Hopefully, that allows me to get straight up to speed and bring the best out of me. I’m really looking forward to getting started with testing and preparation geared towards the TT.”

With proven TT pedigree, a settled team structure and a competitive Supersport package, CD Racing and McLean head into TT 2026 aiming to take another step forward on the Mountain Course.
