(January 13, 2026) — MotoGP will ignite the heart of Kuala Lumpur with an unforgettable season launch event on February 7, 2026, marking a historic first for the championship.

For the first time ever, MotoGP will take over the iconic Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and surrounding streets, transforming them into a vibrant hub of sport, entertainment, and culture. This landmark celebration will showcase the passion and energy of MotoGP, bringing fans closer to the riders, teams, and cutting-edge technology that defines the sport.

Fans can immerse themselves in the excitement all week long with a dedicated Fan Zone inside KLCC Shopping Mall from February 2–7, open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring interactive MotoGP showcases and experiences.

On February 7, the season launch celebration starts with a Pit Box-style bike display at the KLCC entrance, giving fans the chance to get up close to the latest bikes for the 2026 season. The activity will culminate with an evening showcase that will start from 19:00 to 22:30 underneath the Petronas Twin Towers, combining an urban bike run, a main stage rider welcome, and live music entertainment against one of the world’s most iconic backdrops—providing a spectacular start to the 2026 season.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP, commented: “Kuala Lumpur is a city that embodies dynamism and excitement, making it the perfect stage for MotoGP’s season launch. We’re thrilled to bring this unique celebration to Malaysia and share the spirit of MotoGP with fans in Southeast Asia.”

MotoGP will announce the music acts and local celebrity attendees in due course. Thousands of fans are expected to attend and join the celebration.
