The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team announced an update to their rider roster which sees rookie standout, Cole Davies, making his highly anticipated Pro Motocross debut this weekend at the Unadilla round. Amateur rider Caden Dudney will also line up while Pierce Brown sits out after a crash at Ironman.

“It’s been a long time since my last gate drop, but we’re back and at Unadilla of all places,” said Davies. “We’ve had five weeks on the bike since my injury, and I’m feeling solid thanks to Swannie (Gareth Swanepoel) and the Star Yamaha crew. Let’s keep it clean and keep building.”

Davies broke his arm during qualifying at the final round of Monster Energy Supercross in Salt Lake City but has since had surgery as well as over a month back on the bike.
Caden Dudney will also join Davies on the gate for his first round of Pro Motocross. The amateur rider is looking to get his feet wet in the pro ranks before making his full-time jump to the pros which will likely happen next year.

“I’m really excited to be racing a pro National this weekend,” said Dudney. “I’m just going to go learn what it’s like to race with those guys, and have some fun.”

Pierce Brown made his return to racing last weekend for his first round of Pro Motocross of the year after breaking his back at the Tampa round of Supercross earlier in the season. Unfortunately he crashed in the first moto which resulted in 36-41 results for the day. Despite not being seriously injured, the team made the decision for Brown to sit out the remaining rounds of the 2025 season to prepare for the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship.

“I’m at a loss for words from Ironman,” Brown said. “I worked my butt off to get back to the races, and it was a bummer to have it go the way it did. I’m going to take some time for myself so I can get my body 100% for supercross. We’ll take the wins from the weekend, learn from the losses, and move forward. Thanks to the team and everyone in my circle. We’ll be back!”
