Australian racer Jack Holder won the 2025 Orlen Oil FIM Speedway GP of Poland at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw on Saturday, May 17.
Holder dominated for all four laps to overcome new Speedway GP World Championship leader Brady Kurtz, who finished second, securing an Aussie 1-2 in the world’s biggest speedway event.

Kurtz’s win gives him a five-point lead over Polish star Bartosz Zmarzlik in the Speedway GP standings before the FIM Speedway GP of the Czech Republic in Prague on May 31.
Polish wild card Patryk Dudek secured third place, while his compatriot Dominik Kubera finished fourth after the pair fought their way through the last-chance qualifiers to huge acclaim from a packed PGE Narodowy stadium.
“I took a gamble with the inside gate for the final and backed myself,” Holder said. “I made the start and just tried to hit every rut as well and straight as I could.
“I could hear people buzzing around me everywhere, but I just put my head down, tried not to stuff it up, and hoped the red lights didn’t come on. That’s an Aussie one-two!”CN
