In this week’s Throwback we wind the clock back 34 years to 1990 and check out the riders for Team Suzuki. The talent squad of riders included (top row l to r) Jeromy Buehl, Buddy Antunez, Jimmy Gaddis, Mike LaRocco, Guy Cooper (bottom row l to r) Denny Stephenson, Larry Ward and Ronnie Tichenor. It looks like all the guys were also members of Team Mullet, except for the cleaner cut Mr. Stephenson. Denny was probably the youngest rider of the group, so perhaps he was showing the older guys the wave of the future in terms of hairstyles. It was a solid year for the boys wearing an “S” on their chest. Cooper won the AMA 125 Motocross title that year and Stephenson the 125cc East Supercross crown. Antunez, LaRocco, Buehl and Stephenson all ranked inside the top-10 in the 125MX standings, LaRocco, Ward and Tichenor also finished inside the top-10 in the 250 class outdoors.
