Shinko’s 216MX tires are made for tough off-road, enduro and desert riding and are a popular choice for competitors in extreme enduro events like Erzbergrodeo and the Romaniacs. Shinko says that these tires were recently a top performer in the Baja 1000, too.

The tires are DOT and have FIM-approved 13mm lug heights. The rear has an open-tread design and the front has a split-tread pattern for precise point and go control in addition to helping prevent mud buildup.

A range of sizes are available, in both tube and tubeless, to fit the popular off-road and enduro makes and models, including a 90/100-21 front that is made with Shinko’s Cheater compound, which combines the sticky rubber of a trials tire with the sidewall and tread pattern of an off-road tire. In the rear range of 216MX tires, a 140/80-18 size is available in both a SX and a MX version, each with differing rubber compounds.
