Patrick Koether, known as PK to many of his friends and family died from skin cancer on June 2, 2020. He was the Rekluse Clutch sales manager and a longtime employee that was well known in the motorcycle industry. Koether was diagnosed with melanoma five years ago and along with his wife Susie, fought hard to beat it.
Koether was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona and graduated from Boise State University. Koether was a National Outdoor Leadership School Alumni and a Trained Wilderness First Responder. He was a longtime member of Boise Ridge Riders, DIRT Inc., the Harley Davidson Owners Group, and the American Motorcycle Association. He was also a member of the Silver Sage Region Porsche Club of America.
Koether loved to show off his adopted home state of Idaho to anybody that visited by taking them on motorcycle rides or recommending great destinations to visit.
Koether was forced to take a leave of absence from Rekluse back in November 2019 and his wife Susie also took time away from her job to care for Patrick and help him try to fight the disease. Friends set up a gofundme page before his passing to try to help with the cost of treatment and lost income. You can also learn more about Patrick here.
