CAKE named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2020

Stockholm, Sweden (March 10, 2020) – CAKE, the Swedish manufacturer of lightweight electric off-road performance motorcycles, today announced that it is among the companies included in Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2020.
CAKE is among the top ten transportation companies named in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list, which honors businesses throughout the world making a profound impact on both industry and culture. By establishing new categories of vehicles, combining excitement and responsibility, and serving a variety of different user groups with specific needs, CAKE aims to be a point of inspiration for people across the globe to speed up the journey toward a zero-emission society.

First launched in January 2018 at Denver’s Outdoor Retailer Show and Munich’s ISPO show, CAKE’s first model–the Kalk OR–was recognized as “Best in Show” by several outdoor industry publications and has since received numerous accolades, including the Automotive Brand Award, The Grand Award of Design, IF Design Award, RedDot Award as well as being displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum and Sweden’s NationalMuseum.
In 2019, CAKE launched the Kalk&, the first performance bike in the CAKE lineup to carry a street-legal title. Also in 2019, CAKE debuted the Ösa+ and Ösa Lite, two utility-oriented motorbikes featuring an integrated power station, multiple user configurations, and off-road capabilities. In March of 2020, CAKE introduced Kalk INK, an iteration of the game-changing Kalk OR platform aimed at silent and uncomplicated free-riding through the backcountry and beyond.
