Sherco, which has manufacturing plants in both France and Spain, has released its line of 2017 off-road bikes. The company is probably best know for its trials bikes but is coming on strong in the enduro, or off-road, segment. Revealed here are the 2017 Sherco 250 and 300 SE-R Factory two-stroke off-road bikes, and the 2017 Sherco 250, 300 and 450 SEF-R Factory four-stroke off-roaders. In trials, there is the 125, 250 and 300 ST models. No word yet on prices or when they’ll be showing up on showroom floors, but we expect it to be very soon.
2017 Sherco Factory Off-Road
Some of the updates to the off-road bikes include a major re-do of all the plastic, which is said to be far more durable, and has in-mold graphics. Other common changes include higher-capacity fuel tank, modified chassis geometry, frame reinforcements, revised shock linkages, larger-diameter axle, stronger swingarm, stronger spokes and new grips.
The two-strokes off-road bikes get reinforced cylinder head mounting, balanced crankshaft, updated V-Force reed assembly (for improved bottom-end performance), more efficient and durable piston, and a new cylinder.
The 250/300 SEF-R feature new transmission gears, updated fuel pump for improved reliability and keyless injection wiring system.
The 250 SEF-R has a new and stronger piston.
The 450 SEF-R has a few changes of its own, as well. It has an all-new cylinder head, and clutch lubrication has been improved.
2017 Sherco Trials Bikes
As far as the trials bikes, they get a new steering stop, lower chain frame guard, and a new front-brake master cylinder. They also get an updated dual ignition system, an all-new clutch and master cylinder.
