2015 Caselli Ride Day a Huge Success
Cycle News Staff | December 5, 2015
The third annual Kurt Caselli ride day took place at Glen Helen Raceway on Friday, December 4th and attracted a large group of riders and fans to celebrate the memory of a great champion. The ride benefits the Kurt Caselli foundation, which was conceived at the first Caselli Ride day after his untimely passing at the 2013 Baja 1000. The foundation was created to help improve rider safety and has distributed over $300,000 towards improved safety measures in the two years since it was created.
For 2015, the Kurt Caselli Foundation staff organized another fun event with the Glen Helen motocross track and off road loop open for riding. Riders also had the opportunity to ride a parade lap in Kurt’s memory and compete in a team race with two man teams sharing one bike and exchanging a pair of boxer shorts on each lap of the eight lap race. Attendees could also participate in a raffle, silent auction and buy some very cool Caselli Foundation apparel, which you can buy online at the link below.
The event was a great way to pay tribute to Caselli and remind people of the great foundation that is carrying on his legacy for the benefit of the motorcycle riding public.
