Gage McAllister Scores KTM RC Cup Race 2 Win

Gage McAllister scored a hard-fought victory in Sunday’s KTM RC Cup final on his NCR-backed KTM RC390. The race came down to a final-lap showdown between McAllister, Anthony Mazziotto III and Hayden Schultz. It was the more experience McAllister who topped his younger rivals.
McAllister’s margin over Mazziotto III at the flag was 0.162 seconds. Schultz finished a very close third. Braeden Ortt and Josh Serne rounded out the top five.
Early on it was Brandon Altmeyer, McAllister, Schultz and Mazziotto III battling up front, often three abreast down the front straightaway. By lap five Altmeyer built a bit of a gap on the other three, but on the next lap they were right back on his tailpipe.
It appeared to be a four-way battle to the end, but Altmeyer crashed out of the race in the last turn with two laps to go. That left the leading trio to dice to the flag.
It marked the third victory of the season for McAllister and extended his series lead.
