Maxima Backed Gary Sutherlin Clinches WORCS Title

Press Release | October 23, 2014

Maxima racer Gary Sutherlin clinches his first WORCS Pro Championship title in Primm, NV just one year after his first career victory. After winning the opening round in Taft, Ca Gary continued to win 50% of the rounds with an impressive 80% podium appearance during the 2014 season. The WORCS series is notorious for placing extreme demands on riders and their equipment where the rewards often don’t reflect what these racers put in. Formerly a mechanic for the 2006 Pro Champion, Ricky Dietrich, Gary is a testament to the grit of competitive off-road motorcycle racing. The working class hero continues to wrench on his KTM race machine while proving to be a well-rounded racer, champion and all around Rad Dad. The 2014 season isn’t over for Gary as he will be heading to Argentina to represent team USA at the ISDE 6-day enduro at the end of October. Was Gary Sutherlin tailor made the oldest off-road race on the FIM calendar? We will soon find out.
