Aussie Shane Watts not only continued his command of the Grand National Cross Country Seris with his third win of the year in that series yesterday in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, but he also won a round of the AMA National Championship Hare Scrambles Series in the process. The rounds paid points for both series, making the KTM rider’s win doubly valuable.
Watts was followed across the finish line in Tennessee by Brit Paul Edmondson, who leads the Hare Scrambles points chase. The Kawasaki Team Green rider was followed in Hurricane Mills by Suzuki Off-Road’s Steve Hatch and Yamaha riders Doug Blackwell and Randy Hawkins.
