Longtime International Speedway Corporation (ISC) executive Michael Gentry has been hired as the AMA Pro Racing Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Gentry, who most recently was president of Americrown Service Corporation – the motorsports catering, concessions and merchandise subsidiary of ISC – will oversee the day-to-day operation of all AMA Pro Racing’s business divisions.

Working closely with the Managing Board, Gentry will assist in the continued search for a President as part of the reorganization process announced last May, according to AMA Pro Racing.

“We believe Michael’s operational skills will benefit AMA Pro Racing,” said AMA Pro Racing Managing Board Members David Atlas, Tom Bledsoe and Chris Harris in a statement. “This move represents a significant step in our pursuit to continue growing the sport of motorcycle racing in this country. We would like to welcome Michael to the AMA Pro Racing family and we are excited to have him as a part of our team.”
