FIM Hosts Year-End Awards Banquet

Lausanne, Switzerland, hosted the annual MXGP Organizers’ Meeting alongside the FIM Awards Ceremony. Held in the Olympic Capital, the meeting brought together the entire MXGP organizer community, Infront Moto Racing, as well as representatives from the FIM to lay the foundations for the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship.

The FIM held its annual year-end awards ceremony in Switzerland.

The meeting opened with Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo addressing the audience. Then a season-recap video was played, highlighting the key moments and best racing of the 2025 MXGP season. Mariona Leiva, marketing director of Infront Moto Racing, then introduced the key representatives from Infront Moto Racing, including CEO David Luongo, COO Daniele Rizzi, and the other departmental managers. The FIM was represented by Antonio Alia Portela, alongside senior officials involved in MXGP sporting, technical and operational matters.

In the evening, FIM Awards Ceremony took place at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, celebrating the champions of the 2025 season. Among those honored were MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre, MX2 World Champion Simon Laengenfelder, Women’s Motocross World Champion Lotte van Drunen, 125cc Junior World Champion Mano Faure, 85cc Junior World Champion Rafael Menillo, as well as SNX Snowcross World Champion Elias Ishoel and Women’s Snowcross World Champion Saga Forsell.

FIM Inaugurates FIM Racing Motorcycling Museum

In conjunction with the FIM Awards Banquet was the official inauguration of the FIM Racing Motorcycling Museum (RMM), presided over by FIM President Jorge Viegas and held in the presence of Infront Moto Racing President Giuseppe Luongo and Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo.

The FIM Racing Motorcycling Museum features a permanent exhibition representing all FIM motorcycle sport disciplines, showcasing iconic machines that span the history of World Championship racing, on and off-road. Motocross is well represented, with the collection including Romain Febvre’s FIM MXGP Motocross World Championship-winning motorcycle, alongside historic and championship-winning machines from legends such as Stefan Everts, Tony Cairoli, and more.

Launching in early 2026, the museum will host a six-month inauguration exhibition, The Evolution of Motocross, dedicated entirely to the sport’s history. Curated by Giuseppe Luongo, the exhibition brings together a unique collection of historic and landmark motocross motorcycles, showcasing the technical, sporting and cultural development of the discipline through the decades.
