Triumph has expanded its 400cc Modern Classics lineup with the introduction of the 2026 Tracker 400.
Visually, the Tracker 400 draws clear influence from oval-track racing, adopting a minimalist silhouette defined by a tracker-style fuel tank, wide handlebars, a small windscreen and a color-matched seat cowl. Spoked wheels are wrapped in Pirelli MT60 RS dual-purpose tires, reinforcing the bike’s dirt-track aesthetic. Signature Triumph design elements remain, including a round LED headlight, powder-coated engine covers, machined cooling fins and twin upswept exhaust silencers.
Triumph will offer the Tracker 400 in three race-inspired color schemes: Aluminum Silver Gloss with Racing Red accents, Racing Yellow with Phantom Black detailing, and Phantom Black paired with Dark Silver and white highlights. Each livery features bold Tracker graphics, racing stripes with mud-splatter effects and a number-board-style side panel marked “400.”
Ergonomics differ notably from the Speed 400 we tested in Spain last year here. The handlebars are wider and positioned lower, while the footpegs are set higher and farther rearward to create a more aggressive riding posture consistent with flat track styling. Seat height is listed at 31.6 inches.
Power comes from a revised version of Triumph’s TR-series single-cylinder engine. Updates include a new camshaft profile and revised engine tuning, resulting in a five percent increase in peak output. The engine now produces a claimed 41 horsepower at 9000 rpm while retaining 27 lb-ft of torque, with 80 percent of that torque available from 3000 rpm. Triumph says the higher rev limit and revised mapping deliver stronger top-end performance and sharper throttle response via ride-by-wire. A six-speed gearbox is standard.

The chassis is specific to the Tracker 400 and features a 43mm upside-down big-piston fork with 5.5 inches of travel and a rear gas monoshock offering 5.1 inches of travel with preload adjustment. Braking duties are handled by a four-piston radial-mounted front caliper, supported by switchable traction control and ABS.

Instrumentation consists of a single-dial analogue speedometer paired with a digital tachometer, designed to maintain a classic appearance while providing modern functionality. Additional features include a torque-assist clutch and neatly integrated wiring to preserve the bike’s clean look.
Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
