Danilo Petrucci has been called up to replace MotoGP-bound Toprak Razgatlioglu in the factory ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team for the 2026 season.

The Italian, who has won three races for the Barni Spark Ducati team in three seasons of WorldSBK racing, is potentially on for third in this year’s WorldSBK Championship, and his promotion to BMW marks the second time he will have raced for a full factory team after his earlier spell with the factory Ducati team in MotoGP during 2018 and 2019.
“I’m really happy to join BMW Motorrad Motorsport for the next season in World Superbikes and proud that I will ride the bike that currently bears the number one,” Petrucci said. “It was my target to ride a factory bike because I really want to fight for the World Championship title. I think that this is the step that I needed to get in the position to achieve that goal.”
Petrucci’s future teammate is unknown at present, with incumbent Michael van der Mark and Moto2 title contender Aron Canet both in line for the seat.CN
