Round five of Penrite ProMX in Warwick, Australia, June 22, in the MX1 class saw Monster Energy CDR Yamaha’s Jed Beaton going toe-to-toe with Boost Mobile Honda Racing’s Kyle Webster for the win. Beaton took the overall victory.

It was a comfortable win in the opening MX1 moto of the day for Beaton, with KTM rider Nathan Crawford launching to the holeshot, only to be overhauled by Beaton in the following laps. Beaton stretched it out to a 9.3-second victory over the KTM rider.
Defending champion Webster recovered well from an early error, working his way from the edge of the top 10 to a distant third.
