Former British Superbike Champion Bradley Ray (Raceways Yamaha) executed a perfect weekend at the third round of the 2025 British Superbike season at Snetterton, June 21-22, taking three wins from three starts to extend his lead in the series to 30 points over defending champion Kyle Ryde (OMG Yamaha).

Bradley Ray (28) begins to pull clear of Rory Skinner in race two. It is all the BSB field can do to stay with the former champion so far in 2025.

Since returning to the series after a stint in WorldSBK, Ray has taken every race win bar one so far in 2025, the streak continuing at Snetterton.

Race one saw Ray come home a comfortable 5.3 seconds ahead of Ryde, with 2023 BSB Champion Tommy Bridewell (Honda Racing UK) in third.

One of the preseason favorites for the title, Hager PBM Ducati’s Glenn Irwin, did not take part in the opening race after he crashed during free practice three. Following a CT scan at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, he was found to have fractures to his hip socket and pelvis, ruling him out indefinitely for the remainder of the season.

Race two was a little closer affair, with Ray taking the checkers 3.7 seconds up on Rory Skinner (Cheshire Mouldings Ducati) with Bridewell two-tenths of a second adrift of Skinner in third once again.

Race three was closer still, as Ray headed Ryde by 1.6 seconds and Leon Haslam (Moto Rapido Ducati Racing) some 14 seconds in arrears in third.

“It’s been an incredible weekend, and heading into Snetterton, I didn’t expect to have been as strong as we were,” Ray said. “Kyle kept me really honest in that last race. I was able to pull at the start, but the time was coming down. I tried to manage the lap times and was able to respond when I needed to. I think we almost identically matched lap times—I made a few small mistakes at the end with a few laps to go because I was so excited to do the triple, but overall, a very positive weekend and I’m looking forward to Knockhill.” CN
