Bradley Ray (Raceways Yamaha) delivered a commanding performance at Donington Park, taking a clean sweep of victories in all three races during round two of the 2025 British Superbike Championship.

2025 British Superbike Round 2
Bradley Ray (28) leads the way in race three, with Rory Skinner (11) and Glen Irwin (2) giving an in-vain chase.

Ray began the weekend with a win in Saturday’s opening race, fending off pressure from reigning champion Kyle Ryde (OMG Yamaha) and Hager PBM Ducati’s Glenn Irwin.

In race two, Ray led early from Ryde and Irwin. Irwin briefly moved ahead at the Fogarty Esses on lap four, but Ray responded immediately, regaining the lead at the Melbourne Hairpin. Irwin attempted another overtake at the same spot but ran wide and dropped to fourth. Ray held firm at the front, fending off pressure from Ryde, while Irwin fought back to steal third from Rory Skinner (Cheshire Mouldings Ducati) on the final lap.

Race three followed a similar script. Ray launched into the lead from the start, with Skinner and Irwin giving chase. Ryde lost ground after a moment at the Fogarty Esses, dropping behind Leon Haslam (Moto Rapido Ducati Racing) and John McPhee (MasterMac Honda). Irwin passed Skinner to move into second by lap 10 and began closing the gap to Ray, trimming a two-second deficit to under half a second by lap 16. However, a mistake under braking at the Fogarty Esses cost Irwin momentum, and despite pushing to the end, he couldn’t deny Ray a third straight win.

Skinner completed the podium, earning his first with the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati team since their manufacturer switch from BMW. He held off Haslam to become the sixth different podium finisher of the season.

In the championship points, Ray’s treble sees him 12 points clear of Irwin on 86 points, with defending number one Ryde third on 66. CN
