Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson will sit out the remaining six rounds of Monster Energy AMA Supercross due to ongoing health concerns.
On the Saturday morning just ahead of the Seattle round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, Monster Energy Kawasaki made an announcement saying their rider, Jason Anderson, would not line up due to a “family emergency”.

Today the team released another update on Anderson saying he will sit out the remaining rounds of the 2025 Supercross season. They do expect him to return for the full Pro Motocross schedule which kicks off in May. This means both KX450’s of Prado and Anderson will be sidelined at least until the end of Supercross.

From the team: “After sitting out of Seattle, Jason Anderson has made the decision with the support of his family and Kawasaki to sit out the remainder of the Supercross season to address ongoing health concerns. His current plan is to focus on returning to competition for the Pro Motocross series fully prepared and ready to compete. Monster Energy Kawasaki will continue to attend the remaining Supercross rounds to be in support of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki and Team Green SMX Next riders.”

Details are scarce but from the sounds of it, it seems like JA21 is taking some time off to be with family during a time of need. We get it. At times we can forget that even the sport’s elite have families and lives outside of racing. Our best wishes are with the Andersons.
